Basketball Star Loses Dad

Tuesday, January 20 was a sad day in Lilongwe as friends and family of Basketball star Kayakangu "Kayma" Malange turned out in Area 47 to pay last respects to his father, Julius Malange who passed away on Sunday, January 18.  Mr. Julius Malange passed away in Blantyre.  Kayakangu's sister, Sitabene Mwajamanda is also a basketball player and coach.  Among her achievements in the game of basketball, she co-coached with Dave Ndege the winning Cezobal Lady's All-Star team of 2005.  That team won the Tropical Cathy Trophy.  Kayma plays for Trojans and previously played for Chanco Hawks and Bricks.
